Advantages:
Very compact, slightly above low profile memory. Quiet when properly configured. I don't hear it at all in idle at 1000 rpm, in games the speed does not exceed 1800, at which it is not heard behind the video card. Installation is no longer easier. Does not overlap memory and pci-e slot on itx boards. Packaging and equipment, like all Noctua, are at their best.
Disadvantages:
Probably the price, although this is not the first time I buy Noctua products and I have never had the feeling that I overpaid.
Comment:
It copes well with cooling the i5 3570K. In a fairly cramped case (Lian Li PC-Q11), with Turbo Mode enabled, at standard voltage and close to GTX670. In games, the temperature does not exceed 65 degrees (while the cooler does not accelerate above 1800 rpm), in LinX it does not exceed 70, at room temperature about 25 degrees.

There is a similar model for AMD. I have it installed on a Core i5-3550s, the temperature without load is 30-34 degrees. In Prime95, it rises to 65, but you still can't hear it. The temperature in the room is 25. The manufacturer writes that it is compatible with all motherboards, and I installed it without problems, but the bottom plate rests on the capacitors in places. It seems that there are no problems. In general, this cooler is just what you need for an HTPC. Suitable for those who value silence.

I installed this cooler on i7-6700K. This cooler is not enough for a processor with 91W heat dissipation. I bought an NF-A9 PWM for it, it did not save the situation. As a result, I had to replace it. The cooler is not to blame for this, I just wanted more from him than necessary. UPD. Now the cooler is working on the i7-8700, the TDP is 65 watts. I understand that these numbers are real without a boost. By default, the percentage throws up the frequency to 4500 MHz and our baby cannot cope with it at such moments.I turned off the turbo option in the BIOS, the percentage now does not give more than the standard 3200 MHz. In this situation, the cooler is enough for the eyes, the temperature is kept up to 50 degrees.

Disadvantages:
All the disadvantages are the reverse side of the advantages, so it sounds more like a warning: 1. Not a lot of diverting power. It can be easily used in all office applications and tasks that do not require high and long-term CPU performance. 2. Installing / removing this device requires access to the motherboard from the bottom, which is not always convenient (but pays off handsomely).

I have never seen such a quiet, convenient, compact and efficient cooler. We use computers of the mATX form factor and especially for office-type applications, only for work. The noise of the standard equipment irritated users a little. Therefore, I replaced the stock cooler with a Noctua NH-L9i and turned off the case propeller and now it is a miracle! No noise at all! Started temperature control. At a room temperature of 22 gr. stones (i7-4770K and i5-6500) in office applications do not heat up above 35 grams. (thermal paste MX-4). However, everything has a downside - now users cannot immediately understand whether their computer is working or not :)))

I would probably climb into 9cm. With the Core i5 4430s at idle 40 degrees. Under load LinX-ohm reaches 70. Warranty 5 years.
Disadvantages:
After a day of work, it becomes a little audible. Either this percentage heats up in the evening and the speed rises, or the cooler works like that.

When I turn on the computer, sometimes I do not understand whether it is turned on or not) The mitx system unit is on the table 40cm from the face and the cooler is practically inaudible even with the windows closed. If it is enough for 5 years, then it will definitely work out its price, and if not, it will work out a new one) The price is certainly not small, but I have never regretted that I bought it.
