Advantages: Autonomy, Carta screen, separate buttons for navigating in the menu, buttons for scrolling through pages on both sides + button below, convenient menu not overloaded with unnecessary items, many options for setting the font display, sufficient amount of internal memory for several hundred books + the ability to add SD card, a separate mechanical reset button (if the book suddenly freezes), omnivorousness to various formats (even understands zip), and of course the main thing is customizable backlight!
Disadvantages: 1 The main disadvantage, which practically negates most of the advantages, is the reset of bookmarks after turning off the book (see comments). 2 At minimum brightness, the screen flickers from time to time. This does not happen every time, but it gets in the way of reading. It is treated by turning it off and then turning on the backlight manually (though it helps every other time). Or you can make the backlight a little brighter and then this unpleasant effect disappears (only 5 points of brightness). I would like more 3 text settings, it is impossible to adjust the spacing exactly as needed. In the middle of some sentences, sometimes there are large spaces between words that stretch to fill the entire screen. Until I figured out how to remove them. 4 Terribly inconvenient, I would even say difficult, for an ordinary user, updating the firmware! You need to use the serial number on the manufacturer's website to first find out what revision your book belongs to (in itself, this is far from the easiest task), download a special program and then the firmware itself.
Comment: This is my first book. Before that, I read in a browser reader and on smartphones. Recently I began to notice that my eyes get tired, so I decided to be puzzled by the purchase of a good inexpensive book. The choice fell on this one because of the low price and built-in backlight, which was practically the most important point for me. The screen is good. In the bright sun it looks almost like real paper. The font is clear, does not float. It is possible to manually refresh the page if the remaining "garbage" suddenly gets in the way. It is also possible to configure auto-refresh of the screen (every 1, 3 or 5 pages). With backlighting, of course, the page will not look so realistic, but it makes it possible to read in low light. The battery holds well. Out of the box, the charge was about 75%. I have been using it for a week and have never charged it yet, I do not use the backlight often, only in the evenings. The buttons are all mechanical, comfortable. In principle, not tight, but you can't accidentally press it. The backlash is insignificant, in principle, you can close your eyes to it, given its price.Well, now the biggest disadvantage, as I already mentioned, is that it does not remember bookmarks! For example, if you read a lot of non-fiction literature, and you need to add a bunch of bookmarks, so that later you can quickly return to them, then forget it right away! After shutdown, all bookmarks fly off, and the menu displays "no bookmarks". However, the book always remembers the place where you left off, without bookmarks. Then the meaning of the bookmarks here becomes completely unclear to me. I don't know if the new firmware fixes this, but so far it gives me a lot of problems. In general, a good book for my money, I am satisfied. The firmware would be finished and then everything would be fine.

Advantages: The price is low, the screen and the backlight are very decent. The buttons are quite resilient, but not rigid, the paging buttons are on both sides, you can also flip through the central joystick. The page refresh time when paging is quite decent (but on Pocket-Book 615 it is much better)
Disadvantages: At the weakest (out of five) backlight gradations, the screen blinks (about once or twice per page), although not always. It blinks weakly, at first it was annoying, then I chose the second degree of backlight brightness - the blinking disappeared. When the book is turned on, the backlight is off by default, you cannot select (on / off).
Comment: Now I have two books, Pocket-Book 615 (backlit) and this one, Digma r63S. You can compare a lot, the backlight on the Pocket is whiter and softer, but the paging buttons are tougher, besides, both are below. On Digma, the backlight is "yellow", but it's even nicer. There are also a bunch of paging buttons, which is convenient, and there is a margin in case something suddenly breaks. According to the firmware, of course, the package-book is more logical, but due to the need to set all the necessary functions on the joystick button, sometimes it is inconvenient to switch between books / settings, etc. The Digma has a separate "back" button, a backlight on / off button (fire !!!), a settings button, and a "home" button - everything you need in general. So, you can even argue which is more convenient. After successfully broken Pocket-Book 614 (without backlighting), now I buy covers for all books ... Which is what I advise you. True, the cover of Digma turned out to be GREAT, but the safety is guaranteed. The charge holds well, but because of the backlight, of course, it lands faster.

Advantages: Dimensions (convenient for small hands) No touchscreen Configurable backlight Book loading speed (2 sec. Per book in 2300 pages, FB2) Buttons for paging from all sides Supports folder system Price
Disadvantages: Too sensitive joystick Turns on on the main menu, and not on the book being read There is not enough space for the title of the book in the list Small power button Difficult to buy a good case (Vivacase Basic for Digma 6 "fit)
Comment: The main criteria for choosing this model: - no touchscreen - backlighting - good reviews that the book does NOT hang. I use thin for reading only. literature, so the available volume of settings, reading formats and screen quality are fine. At first, it lacked some of the functions that were in my previous reader (Poketbook 360), for example, turning over 10 pages. The most, perhaps, the main advantage in comparison with other readers is the combination of the presence of a backlight and the absence of a touchscreen. Usually these options go together. But if I need a backlight, then the touchscreen is absolutely unacceptable when reading in public transport. Price. All the same, it is 2-3 times cheaper than Poketbook, from which I did not find a suitable model at all. Supports folder system. It seems that this is the norm, but my husband had a Sony reader, which did not have this option. All the books came in one list. According to the results of getting used to and using a little more than a month, only 2 drawbacks are frankly annoying: the book is turned on on the main menu, and not on the page being read. Those. every time you need to make extra movements to start the book being read. This adds a second, more significant disadvantage: a very sensitive joystick (even for my small hands). You can only fall inside the menu or start a book with its central button, but you have to do it very carefully, since the slightest movement of your finger to the side is perceived by the joystick as a command for action and the "cursor" slides down or up, revealing something completely different from what it was need to. It really pisses me off. Another drawback: only 21 characters, including spaces, for the title of the book in the list. I only see the author and the first few letters (up to 5) of the book title. It is impossible to configure the display in some other way, for example, in 2 lines. The power button is either too small or too insensitive. You have to turn it on / off with your fingernail. But the combination of price and functionality for reading is thin. I definitely recommend the literature.

Advantages: Low price, omnivorous. Resolution 800x600 for reading is more than enough with such a screen, I did not notice any difference when reading on a screen with a resolution of 1024. Except in the pictures. Nice lighting. The buttons are pressed normally, they feel like they will live for a long time.
Disadvantages: Updating the firmware is not very convenient, but according to the instructions, I think anyone can handle it. After the update, the preinstalled books disappeared, so save them somewhere before updating.
Comment: Previously there was a PBook with a touch screen. There is, of course, a difference. But this one is quite convenient to use. Before using, be sure to update the firmware from the office. site.

Advantages: abundance of controls. 4 hardware paging buttons. Hardware button to turn off the backlight. Hardware buttons Menu and Back. Long battery life. Small size and weight. Great eink screen. Fb2 and epub support. Work with Linux, Mac without drivers. The lack of a touch screen, markets, the Internet, Wi-Fi, email and a web browser - all this one is unnecessary.
Disadvantages: When the device is completely turned off, the book must be reopened.
Comment: The model is excellent, and using AI to moderate reviews from real people is to put it mildly unprofessional and embarrassing. This is the third attempt to leave a review. I don't come here anymore.

Advantages: Several buttons for turning the page, price, backlighting (with brightness control), compactness, fits well in the hands and is pleasant to the touch.
Disadvantages: Quite small on / off button.
Comment: The book is just fine, it supports enough formats, the backlight does not burn your eyes in the dark, the resolution is 800x600 (which is enough for reading, in my opinion). If you need an inexpensive, compact backlit e-reader, this is your choice!

Advantages: The book supports many formats, lightweight, lying on the couch I hold with one hand, does not get tired. It is convenient to turn pages, from the sides and from the joystick. Without the backlight, reading would not be very comfortable, but it does. Holds charge for quite a long time. Low price, according to the stock.
Disadvantages: A month after the purchase, the book froze. I was on watch for 1.5 months, and she let me down. A page from a book hangs, that's all. I tried to reboot, turned on, poked all the buttons, with no result. She let me down. Well, I lay there for a month, came home, gave it to my son, he understands this (Yes, he bought it). He brings it in a day, he says, he also poked, rebooted (a small hole at the bottom), nothing. And then I connected the charger and rebooted, and it worked! Someone complained that the power button is small, but normal, but when you put the book on the table with its butt end, it turns off. The screen is grayish, it’s bad to read without a backlight, only in bright light.
Comment: If you turn off the book with a short press, and with the backlight on, then it opens in the same place where you finished reading. If you read without backlight, and turn it off with a short press, then after a long break you will have to search for the book again. If you turn off with a long press, you will have to search for the book and page again. Not a bad book.

Advantages: - Nice screen, backlit on five levels. - Lots of buttons to turn pages. Two back and forth on both sides, plus you can flip through the bottom with a cross.
Disadvantages: - No hyphenation. Therefore, for a certain above average font size, there will be long spaces between words in places. - There is no regular way to install your own font.
Comment: How to install your font, as well as a screensaver on a turned off / sleeping reader, read on w3bsit3-dns.com in the topic for this reader - all this can be done.
