Opinions from the Huawei B315S

Advantages:
Good connection, LTE, works as a GSM gateway, simplicity (turned on - works)
Disadvantages:
It was tested with 4 SIM cards (MTS, two Megafon, and Beeline), one megaphone for some reason did not start (lost the network). Probably the solution is to replace the SIM card in the salon.
Comment:
After the closure of Skylink's networks, the CDMA Domolink fell off at the granny's dacha. Instead of CDMA SIM cards, everyone was given GSM SIM cards and new devices such as stationary mobile phones, with the number retained. Earlier at the dacha I had a CDMA gateway (also Huawei), to which three radiotelephone tubes were connected, so that grandma and grandpa did not need to run after the phone from the kitchen to the room, etc. Now this gateway has become useless and I climbed to choose a new one. At first I chose from some models of a "domestic manufacturer", marked as a GSM gateway. However, these devices did not support 3G, and I was going to put the Tele2 SIM card in the gateway. Searches led to this device, which, generally speaking, does not have a basic gateway function. There were doubts that everything would start successfully. Doubts were not justified, everything works perfectly! The connection is stable, no interference, the incoming number is determined on the radio handsets. Now a few hints: 1. If you want to use this device with a phone, and previously your base was connected to an analog telephone network, you will need to switch the dialing mode to tone in the settings, otherwise you will not be able to make calls (the reception will be work) 2. As already mentioned in the reviews, this device can be bought cheaper with an MTS operator contract (thank you, kind person). At the same time, it will work only with MTS SIM cards, that is, you can close the contract and insert a "voice" MTS SIM card. 3. If you are tired of MTS for some reason, the device can be unlocked for any operator. ATTENTION! New models of the device, and they are now almost all new on sale, you will not be able to unlock the case without disassembling the case. There is nothing complicated about this, but the loss of the guarantee is likely, and for people who have no experience in flashing and other "dancing with a tambourine", I would recommend not to be greedy and buy a regular (non-operator) version.

Advantages:
Relatively compact, easy to configure and install. Ideal for use as a GSM gateway.
Disadvantages:
Not able to work with VPN, not able to distribute static addresses via DHCP.
Comment:
The device is intended for places with poor 4G reception. It copes perfectly with the task of distributing mobile Internet to several devices. The set includes two external antennas. It is not clear, however, why. On the built-in antennas, the reception is more than confident (the speed of the mobile Internet on a smartphone is 1 Mb, on a router is 7 Mb). I did not find any difference in work on external and internal antennas.

I bought this in the operator version of the ISS Connect 4g. 4900 are all fun, 1200 of them are on the account. In total, the piece of hardware itself cost 3700. As the funds ran out of the account, I unlocked it according to the instructions of 4pd and put an iota. Iota took the device for its operator version and allowed to use the promo rate of maximum speed for 900 rubles. With an external antenna (agate by), I have stable 20/6 megabits for reception and transmission, respectively (iota limit) in the place where the operation of 4g is not declared by the operator at all. I am satisfied with the device, I recommend it.

Advantages:
An excellent device. I was pleasantly surprised by my efficiency in a difficult place
Comment:
There was such a problem - there was no Internet as such in the country for more than 10 years. This made life very difficult, we all became very dependent on the Internet. Without it, the “darling” cannot be compiled on time, neither the recipe to look at, nor the teamviewer to enter the remote object. There was only one way out - to drop everything and move into the city. I tried many different options, repeaters and directional antennas. The most acceptable option I had in 2014 - Skylink (CDMA), but it died for granted and the problem of communication again became very urgent. The dacha is located in the village of Alachkovo, Moscow region (Chekhovsky district). Cellular towers are located remotely, no closer than 10 kilometers from the village, so choosing a provider in these tight conditions is complicated. Now, hopefully, everything is in the past. I became the proud owner of an ultra-breakdown router with a modem and my own antennas - Huawai B315S-22 - (7200 rubles). http://lapshinvr.ru/huawei-b315s-22.html

Great machine! YOTA signal reception is excellent. Before him there was an ordinary YOTA - a modem, which didn’t catch. I am satisfied with the purchase, I recommend it.

Advantages:
Easy to install. Holds a stable signal. I took it for a mini-office (3rd floor). The speed keeps at least 15Mbps. Average range 25-35 Mbps (on Megafon).
Disadvantages:
I haven't noticed yet (I've been using it for a week)

Advantages:
Built-in modem with good sensitivity, SMA connectors for external antennas
Disadvantages:
The firmware from the box contains a minimum of settings
Comment:
After flashing according to the method described on w3bsit3-dns.com, additional sections appear in the menu, which are so necessary for fine-tuning the external antenna on the BS, flexible settings for the home network, as well as the ability to enter AT commands to combat the greed of cellular operators

Advantages:
Nice appearance Full 2G / 3G / 4G band Antennas included (external antennas can be connected)
Disadvantages:
no WiFi AC standard
Comment:
What you need for a summer residence! I plugged in a SIM card, set up wifi and forgot about the device :)
July 19, 2016, St. Petersburg
Advantages:
Easy installation. External LTE antennas save the reception situation. It rarely hangs or loses connection. It even works with those Yota towers on which there are "unknown" restrictions on the Internet for devices and with which the stock Yota modems refuse to work (unfortunately ours is just that, which is why I had to take this router).
Disadvantages:
No hang on wall, can not be put. You can only deliver. Weak WI-FI (there are no external antennas wi-fi at all !!!). There are very few features in the standard firmware (for example, there is nowhere to see the list of DHCP clients).
Comment:
Good thing. You can take it so as not to block bundles from routers, modems, etc. For good coverage of a house / apartment, you may need a separate access point with normal antennas and Wi-fi power.

Advantages:
Strong signal Small size Built-in LTE modem LAN / WAN port
Disadvantages:
light - with an external antenna connected - falls easily
Comment:
I never write reviews, but then I specially went to the market to leave my review. Before that, there was a Yota router. The connection was broken every 30 minutes. I had to overload. Maximum speed 5 Mb. Reception 1 stick out of 5. I bought Huawei B315s-22 with an external MIMO antenna. I inserted a SIM card. Everything worked right away without any additional settings. And now it's just happiness at the dacha. For 10 hours of work - no freezes. Reception of 3 sticks out of 5. Speed is the maximum that is paid by Yote. I recommend to everyone.
