As the owner of 1003FZEX and 1002FAEX in the same system, I can say that they are the same in speed, despite the difference in internal structure. However, the 1003 heats up less and makes much less noise.

I bought it in 2014 somewhere, along with components for a new computer. After connecting, I was surprised by the grinding noise and the speed of work did not impress at all. I had before that WD blue 320gb, it was less noisy. After 1.5 years, Bada's "shoals" began to crawl out. I rearranged a lot of operating systems until I realized that it was all about the HDD. Friends advised to contact those. support for WD. Help with rma for replacement! A new disk came in a month, like the same WD black 1tb., That's all, but it is generally different noiseless and the speed is kind of explosive in general. On my old one, the system was loaded for 10-15 minutes at least, and this one took 3 minutes with all the software. It's just a bullet, almost like an ssd! Already 3 months I can not get enough of it.
