Here they write that he is a fucking noisy, I do not agree, in work he is a little stronger than my old seagate sd1000dm003, which is not critical at all and does not interfere with work, its background is at the level of the fans and the power supply unit, but when you turn off the computer, the parking sound at first it scared him, he is very clearly slash, but you need to understand that the disk is a server one and this is a payment for a long life and speed. In the active mode, a little higher than the old disk, which is not critical at all and should not be paid attention to.

Of course, I would not recommend installing it in quiet, silent PCs of the media center level, but for people with solid cases and with good acoustic protection, I recommend very, very ed. you will have to get used to its original sound effect when you turn it off and do not forget that this is a disc for the corporate segment with a good guarantee.

197 Megabytes of reading and writing, the temperature under load in a closed case never rose above 37 degrees at a room temperature of 27, although it has a limit of 60 degrees, I doubt that I will ever be able to even dial 50!
Disadvantages:
The hard drive is noisy, the usual sound of work, but since it is not very much locked in the case and the Internet is what would soften the vibration as a result of the noise, but this can be easily corrected by purchasing such a deep cool ice 100 case, in no case the noise will be zero and it costs a penny thing!

Hard ones need to be tested with time, so I am writing a review after almost a year as I bought it. The hard one works perfectly, there are no complaints about it, except for the price, but this is a controversial issue, all the same, the quality seems to be like. In the photo below you can see the appearance, the speed of copying from a portable hard disk to this WD1005FBYZ disk, and a test in a crystal disk. Great drive for PC and server. Windows server 2008r2 starts in 13 seconds from the mirror. RAID edition, the controller does not just throw it away. In terms of speed, it is between HDD and SSD.

I took a boo disk, it has been serving for a year, I described the disadvantages and advantages above, I took it because of the increased reliability of the disk. It fully justifies itself as a disk of a spare system, the speed of both loading wines, and installing programs and reading them, for example, such a time-consuming one as solidworks starts instantly (in comparison with the old hard disk drive). Vibration is not felt. As a server disk is ideal, as a home one, it's worth considering.

HDD Western Digital Gold WD 1005 FBYZ 128 MB SATA 6 Gb / s - 1 Tb, purchased by me on 02/09/2017 Wonderful, very fast, cold, quiet - almost silent hard drive. High speed, reliability, five-year warranty. A home computer with an operating system installed on a new HDD is simply not recognizable in terms of speed and performance index.

They just don't exist.

I did not notice any special speed gain after WD Blue. I didn't measure it with tests. There are 2 coolers in the system unit. 1 on i7 processor (boxed). 2nd - in BP. The video is sewn in percent. The noisiest item is WD Gold. No wonder, you see, the manufacturers removed it from production in December. 2018

The disk was bought as a system disk under Windows 10. Tested in Victoria 4.47; CrystalDiskMark 5. Some people criticize it for its noisiness, and yes, there is noise, similar to bounce. There may be a problem with the disk mounting. After operation - I will share my impressions. In a couple of months, I will unsubscribe about his work and impressions. The graph shows that the reading speed drops after 120 gigabytes and this is normal for the HDD.
