On Linux (as opposed to windows), where there is no constant load on the hard disk and with small requirements (multimedia, Internet, scripting) to access time, this disk turned out to be quite a good solution. It is really quiet: not only the rotation of the spindle is not heard, but also the crunching of the heads when searching. If you need a relatively capacious and cheap disk for a mobile system, then this is it.

If you sit in silence, work without load, and put the laptop on a wooden table, then a hum is very clearly heard, as if the AN-22 is somewhere on the approach. If you lift the laptop, the hum disappears abruptly. The reason is the vibration of the disk case transmitted to the laptop. If you are wearing headphones or listening to music, then everything is okay, if you like silence, then you will have to get used to this hum after the SSD. You can put the laptop on a soft base, or try to cushion the disk itself. In general, I was surprised that a small and not the fastest disk made so much noise. Regarding the parking of the heads - I don't notice anything, it works without the characteristic crackling. If you distribute torrents, then the noise of the heads is heard clearly even in the headphones, so watch. Here many people turn off parking, but I, on the contrary, cut down the disks in 5 minutes in order to save energy. And if I work on the system disk, then I get perfect silence. I use it for a week.
