Advantages:
- Fast multimedia and quite gaming processor. - 4 cores 8 threads at 3.7-4.2 GHz, very good for its 8600r. - Low heating. With the usual Zalman CNPS 7000 Al-Cu PWM and MX-4 thermal paste, in idle time it shows + 35C ... + 37C, in the internet and office applications no more than + 45C, I did not observe it under loads of more than + 60C. - Of course, the built-in video core Vega11. Finally, at least the minimum gaming level up to FullHD, inclusive, and viewing high-quality video in 4K without a single hint of brakes have been reached on the inline. It's five! - Only 10% -12% (on average) inferior in performance to the i5-8600, on which I assembled the main computer, but the price tag is half as much, which is quite impressive.
Disadvantages:
- Zen + architecture, not Zen2, as on the older R5 3000 series. As a result, this is only a slightly improved R5 2400G, with a rather noticeable price difference with the latter. - The gap with R5 3600 is too big, both in architecture and in total cache size and overall performance. At least, not 4 cores / 8 threads, but 6/12, and a cache of 3 levels at least 9MB, and not 4, then it would be a very strong midrange!
Comment:
In a compact case, Silverstone Milo 09B has assembled a very vigorous PC for internet, work, multimedia and a little play before going to bed in front of the TV in the bedroom. The result is very pleasing: the computer turned out to be almost noiseless and all my requests in terms of games and films are dragging with a bang. It should be noted that when assembling without a discrete video card, it is very desirable to install two 8GB DDR4-2933 or higher strips, then the result will be good. NVME 256Gb + HDD 2Tb drive for file storage. Only low-profile discrete video cards can be inserted into this case, therefore, until such small video cards of the level of at least 1660s appear in nature, you can safely sit on the built-in. And the current low-profile ones, up to 1650, do not consider it expedient to use here (specifically in this case) with such a not bad built-in video core. Summary. Do you need a small, but very vigorous and nimble computer? This stone is almost ideal for such purposes: my other (main) computer is also assembled in a compact case, based on the i5-8600. According to the graphics, Intel's integration did not come close to Reisen's Vega11, and, of course, a computer with an i5 has a discrete (GTX 1660Ti). That is, how many tugriks are needed for more or less decent graphics? Only a stone and vidyaha will rise in 35k, at least. Taking into account the rest, the price for the entire system unit will exceed 50k. And the PC on the Ryzen 5 3400G cost me 30k, with a comparable level of performance. And yes, all 15 years of communication with PCs and laptops, I was sitting only on Intel, it just so happened. It was for myself that I made an assembly based on AMD for the first time, and I am very pleased with the result, although, I repeat, I expected a little more from this processor.

Advantages:
Until recently, if I heard that you can play on AMD's "embedded" in GTA V with "high" graphics settings, with a stable 45-50fps, I would never believe it.
Disadvantages:
For me, they do not exist, except that at the start of sales, the disadvantages can be attributed to the price overestimated by hucksters by 15-20%.
Comment:
I must say right away that I own both the Ryzen 5 3400G and the predecessor 2400G. And I will note right away that the stone was heavily optimized in terms of the processor part, so much so that in some synthetic tests the novelty goes 25-30% ahead. However, in most tasks you will have an increase of 300Mhz, which is added to the processor boost. According to the graph, the growth is even less if we compare both stones in stock. With overclocking, the new item has a better situation than the old 2400G, here the percentage is naturally colder and calmly takes 4.2Ghz for the CPU and 1600Mhz for the GPU without increasing the voltage. To be fair, I note that I overclock not on a BOX cooler, but in tandem with a BeQuiet Pure Rock tower, warming up in a stress test no higher than 75 degrees Celsius. The miracle did not happen in overclocking the memory, the 3200Mhz frequency with increasing the DRAM voltage to 1.35V submitted to me. The same kit runs at 3600Mhz with a Core i5 8400 on an AsRock Z370. I advise the processor to buy for those who are not particularly overclocking, out of the box you can play undemanding online games at medium graphics settings in the region of 50-60 fps in FHD.

Advantages:
Fast, everything works, pulls like everything that is played, suits me.
Comment:
Don't expect anything supernatural from an integrated graphics card.

Advantages:
Cost, built-in gpu.
Comment:
A good option for budget systems with integrated video. Collected a system for the Internet and games like a farm (for a retired father). Works without problems, does not get warm. I didn't drive under load.

Advantages:
Great processor for undemanding games and budget assemblies
Disadvantages:
It is the best in its segment, there are no shortcomings
Comment:
I use it in a computer without a video card - it shows itself perfectly in games such as cs: go, Dora 2, overwatch, I like its heat dissipation and power consumption

Advantages:
Very nice performance, both in general computing and graphics. In the boxed version, not a bad cooler, fits most small cases.
Disadvantages:
The cooler, although not bad, but not the quietest, although the speed can be reduced.
Comment:
We did not try to overclock, they assembled it in a small box on mini-itx. In a stress test, it warmed up to 70-78 degrees in a shallow Foxline 250W box. Heavy BIM programs on schedule work with a bang. An excellent assembly up to 30 thousand turned out.

Advantages:
Great processor for the money. Standard heat dissipation, does not heat up with good cooling, I use a regular tower with a 120mm cooler
Disadvantages:
Absolutely nothing!
Comment:
Well got up on asrock 4pro with BIOS 3.60 The integrated graphics are good, just an excellent processor for everyday tasks!

Advantages:
APU, good performance per core and smt
Disadvantages:
No
Comment:
This apu buries all discretes from the most deshman plugs like gt 710 and r5 240 and gt 1030 and rx 550. The integrated vega 11 graphics are capable of fullHD, although not often even on medium-sized ones, play quietly in the same RDR2 | The Witcher 3 | GTA 5 | Metro Exodus.

Advantages:
* excellent performance for a given price
Disadvantages:
* no
Comment:
I have not tested the overclocking capability. In general, I highly recommend it. The embedded video is good enough, but certainly not for the most modern games. Looking forward to even more powerful processors from AMD next year!
13 November 2019, St. Petersburg
Advantages:
Powerful graphics, multithreading, high stock frequency, good cooler included.
Disadvantages:
It gets very hot => the cooler is noisy. In a compact system, it is best not to overclock.
Comment:
You can safely play undemanding titles like Dota / KS on a full-hd monitor at 60+ fps.
