DDR4 on Hynix-AFR chips overclocked to 3800MHZ FCLK 1900 using a calculator and a one-to-one divider. The percentage took 4400MHZ across all cores at 1.250 volts, but when running Prime95 it is stable and adequate in temperature at 4300MHZ at 1.2000v. 10th Windows with all the latest updates. Cooler from Noctua NH-U12A. Fresh, at the time of this writing, drivers and a stripped-down BIOS (Click Beta Bios). The processor started up on the motherboard without dancing with tambourines. The performance gain from the previous processor (R5 1600) is about 25 percent, which is very noticeable in games and rendering. The percent is hot, but considering that it is overclocked. With the same performance as the R5, the 1600 will be icy, so you can adjust the temperature / performance ratio to suit you. I also checked the effect of memory overclocking on performance - from 3200MHZ XMP to 3800 using the calculator, the gain was more than 15 percent. Comment: There was a lot of conflicting data that the processor is hot like infernal heat, they talked about incompatibility of components ... In my opinion, it turned out to be an excellent processor that covers 90 percent of the user's PC needs. A very important point - the VRM of the motherboard does not heat up at all ... I didn’t believe the monitoring indicators, opened the case cover, touched the motherboard with my hand, where it hurt before - it’s barely warm there, which is simply excellent! Temperature 40 degrees by sensors. In the stock of percentages, in my case, using is a stupid topic. "Insert and forget" does not work here, because the processor voltage is prohibitively high, which is completely unjustified, and, accordingly, the cooler starts to go crazy from temperatures. After disabling PBO, clamping the voltage at 1.250, setting 4400 across all cores and manually adjusting the fan curve, the system works fabulous. After a couple of days of fiddling with overclocking: I noticed that after resetting the BIOS to the default settings, the fans do not make as much noise as when the processor is first started. There is a suspicion that initially the wood on the chipset was not up to the end, now the voltages do not jump to 1.450, which leads to the conclusion that the story with "insert and forget" may be quite appropriate here, but if there is an opportunity to overclock, it is better to do it , the profit is tangible. A week later: We managed to stabilize the processor at 4300mhz at 1.2000v and LLC2, the memory started up at 3800mhz 1900 FCLK at 1.45v and LLC2 with 16-18-19-19-40 and compressed secondary timings for these chips (HYNIX-AFR) the result is excellent. 53000 reads, 65 ns latency. Stability was tested for 8 hours in Prime95 in custom mode with memory and processor stress.4400mhz for the CPU to take, in my case, is pointless, it was not possible to stabilize the system at this frequency, because the voltage is 1.3000 volts, the temperatures are higher than permissible, so I stopped at 4300. UPD: Still, this memory works no higher than 3600. 3800 prime 9 hours do not pass.

Advantages: Decent performance for your money. 6 cores / 12 threads, large cache. Faster than more expensive Intel 9600k, 8700k processors in many benchmarks and computational workloads. In games, the lag is within 5-20%. In terms of aggregate performance, taking into account the cost (12,794 rubles for the OEM version at the beginning of August 2019), this is the best choice.
Disadvantages: SuperPI performance is lower and memory latency is higher than Intel's Core I7-4790k processor from 2014. Perhaps for some it is critical.
Comment: Uploaded in a home PC with Intel Core i7-4790k to AMD Ryzen 5 3600. The processor is powered by MSI X570-A PRO motherboard with 32Gb DDR4 3333MHz Kingston HyperX Predator (HX433C16PB3K2 / 32) (2x16 KIT) memory and Zalman CNPS9X Optima cooler. Installed the OS and Office 2013 - the PC has been working stably for several days. I do not plan to overclock the processor, so I do not give an estimate for overclocking. I chose the motherboard (lm) according to the criterion of maximum compatibility with the processor and memory. MSI says it has tested over 1200 memory modules for compatibility with the new X570 chipset. At first I thought to take m.p. on chipsets B450-X470, reviewed a large amount of material on m.p. on these chipsets, almost already decided to buy ASUS ROG STRIX B450-E GAMING (top-end m.p. on chipset B450), but the need to spend time and money on flashing the BIOS (you need to have / buy an old processor or go somewhere and pay money for updating the BIOS) stopped from buying MP on the B450-X470. In addition, there is a risk that, in 2020, with the release of the ZEN 3 architecture (4th generation RYZEN), old m.p. will not work with them, which will close the ability to replace the processor without changing the MP. Temperature with Gammax 400 in stress is about 70-75 C, in games - no more than 60 C. In simple and low-demanding tasks - 45-55 C. Of course, the difference can be seen with the previous risens only in the most demanding applications. It is essentially idle in undemanding applications and games. For example, in Overwatch, the percentage is loaded no more than 25%. I don’t see much point in switching even from 1700 Reisen to this one. Only if you successfully sell one. I would still consider this an evolution of Reisen, although very successful, but not a revolution.
Disadvantages: - Easy overpayment for novelty. - The need to update the BIOS on old chipsets. - Most likely will be idle in your daily tasks by more than 70%. - Practically does not chase. Turboboost is already making the most of it.
