Advantages: We are talking about AMD Ryzen 7 1800X, I will not name the motherboard, so as not to advertise, 64 GB memory, 5x4 TB disks in the array, I am writing in March 2017. - optimization not only for games, but also for technical tasks - this is a megaplus, for powerful , but inexpensive servers are just a song (see kament); - prohibitive computing power (see. kament), really amazing; - 16 cores; - roomy cache; - PRICE (1/3 of a similar Intel); - very low heat generation, does not require powerful cooling; - new technologies and goodies (pulls DDR4, ECC, I generally keep quiet about processor extensions); - I just do not know the task, which one could load it by at least 70%; - even surveyors praise and do not throw mud, which is strange.
Disadvantages: - with motherboards from ASUS, judging by the reviews, there are problems with the BIOS. For some reason they always have problems with new AMD; - Windows 10 has not yet released a patch for its normal support (there are glitches). But who in their right mind uses Windows 10? (joke) :-) - it's not entirely clear who needs such power at home (I mean that it is more suitable for servers).
Comment: It's funny, for some reason all negative reviews are written in such a hysterical-illiterate style that it seems that they were written by schoolchildren who saw this processor only in reviews :-) By the way, never get fooled by synthetic tests and "reviews" of 7 "A". Just a week ago, I finished assembling a server for a department of 25 people (all PCs are weak, this is where the RDP server is up). Evaluate the staff: 25 users every day work with documents (M $ Office 2007), the last eighth 1C (gluttonous thing), ConsultantPlus, SBIS ++ (generally out), plus browsers, cleaners and other devilry, admins will understand. I installed openSUSE on a Linux server, on it a Xen virtualizer, in which: - four (!) Virtual Windows 7, one of which, in fact, has 14 cores, 50 GB of RAM and a dmRAID-5-array of 10 TB, under which via RDP (Windows patched, of course) and 22 people are working (!), the rest are allocated separate virtual machines (that's how it should be); - one CentOS with native server 1C and Apache (users work under thin clients); - file server on Ubuntu, nothing special, normal load; - Susya herself once a week merges an incremental backup to the old server (who cares, I have a description in the comment history). So, this whole thing does not just fly, it is like lightning! _NOT_ ONCE_, even in the "hottest" periods there were no complaints about the brakes! Bugagaltera do not even have time to get up and turn on the kettle while their reports are being generated (the base is bold), documents in M $ O are opened INSTANTLY, packs of updates on Susya are installed in half a minute! Just imagine - 25 people, 6 virtual PCs, and no brakes! I didn't look at the Load average, so I can't say about the total load, but in Windows 7 (in which 22 people work) the maximum peak CPU load was 60%, the average load was 28-30%.I do not care a thousand times what the corrupt reviewers will write and how many minuses the buhurtintelovers will put, the processor is a bomb! AMD is slowly harnessing, but if it does go ... :-)

Advantages: 8с16t, Excellent multi-threaded performance at the level of i7-6900k (75 thousand rubles) Price / performance ratio, One socket for all Zen-based processors, active support is promised at least 4 years, On a stock cooler (which is RGB !! 1 ) will accelerate to 3.7 GHz is almost guaranteed, with strong luck up to 4-4.1 GHz and temperatures up to 70 degrees. Excellent voltage drop potential: less than 1 volt at stock frequencies. Infinity Fabric is strictly tied to the RAM frequency: the higher the RAM frequency, the faster the processor works. Subjectively smoother FPS in games, there are practically no microfreezes and the minimum FPS is much higher compared to the mainstream kaby lake. AMD FineWine ™.
Disadvantages: At the moment, there is a problem with starting RAM with a frequency of more than 2666 MHz: on most boards, it refuses to fast at the declared parameters, or you have to manually search for working timings and frequencies by trial and error. 3000 MHz does not pull, only 2933. It is expected to be fixed soon. Yes, in games ~ 5-8% less FPS compared to 7700k, Ryzen's IPC is about 8-10% lower than Kaby Lake. CCX. When it is necessary to communicate between the cores between two CCXs, there is a large latency, and, as a result, a drop in performance up to 25% compared to one CCX. see comment. Price in Russia is an economic crime.
Comment: In terms of games, in my opinion, the lower average fps is balanced by much more stable minimum fps: where Intel dances up and down, AMD is more even, without jumps and microfreezes. In literally everything else, the 7700k has no chances, both in terms of sheer performance and the cost of a processor + motherboard + cooler package. The Ryzen R7 is designed as two CCXs - in simple terms, the processor behaves like two quad cores with eight threads each. These two complexes are connected by Infinity Fabric - a communication backbone with a width of 22 GB / s. Inside the complex, the cores communicate through the L3 cache, 175 GB / s wide. Thus, cores 0-3 or 4-7 have no problems communicating with each other, but as soon as core 3 requests data from core 4, this happens over a much slower Infinity Fabric. The Windows 10 scheduler does not recognize this problem and drives processes and their data from thread to thread, which obviously creates a performance drop when migrating them from one CCX to another. AMD comrades stated that there is no bug in Windows, everything works as intended, i.e. do not wait for a fix. You can manually (using Process Lasso) force the process to use only one CCX, while there is no performance drop, but the process does not see half the processor. In Linux, this problem was solved very quickly and the scheduler there is aware of the peculiarities of the processor. By the way, R5 and R3 are on the way (6c / 12t, 4c / 8t and 4c / 4t models), they still have the same two CCXs (and not one 4c / 8t from R7, as common sense would suggest). So this is an architectural feature and you can't get away from it. The difference between 1700 and 1800 \ 1800x is not overclocking potential, but voltage. 1800x will overclock 300 MHz more at the very edge, but at a much lower voltage, resulting in lower power consumption and heating. The price in Russia is just awful. I ordered from Germany along with the motherboard Asus B350M-A, 27000 came out entirely with delivery, here one processor costs 26600.

Advantages: The happy owner of Ryzen 7 1700 Pros: 1) Hellish multitasking Launch the tank client? second customer of tanks? and playing at the same time in gta5 is quite comfortable? Easy! (no, I don’t do that, but I know that Ryazan is capable of running many games / applications / virtual machines immediately-tested) 2) Easy overclocking from under Windows (Amd Ryzen Master) to 3.6 WITHOUT raising the voltage on the boxed cooler. Even a blonde can handle it. 3) The simple heart of my pc is colder than that of the former! (33C) in games up to 60, it is difficult to warm it up in a ventilated case. -at sink frequencies 4) it strictly dominates over i7-5960x both in single-thread and multi-thread in CPU-Z 5) no drawdowns / freezes were noticed in games
Disadvantages: I could not influence the competitor's pricing policy as quickly as I would like.
Comment: My pc is always quiet. When working. When playing. When idle. No temperature jumps. Capacities with a reserve for many years. Windows is not buggy. Bios immediately updated the latter, and there are no problems. I don't know what guides people when they buy a 7700k system with a 60Hz monitor? The phrase that risen is not a game processor? Well, yes, probably such people need a game processor, a game motherboard, game RAM, hard, a power supply in the end. In general, I am delighted with the red product. He is the embodiment of what competition leads to. And the price analogue of the blue is a clear fruit of what its absence leads to.

Advantages: Price / performance ratio
Disadvantages: Relative overclocking, not all memory modules start at the specified frequency.
Comment: I will say right away that in the past I have used solutions from both Intel and AMD, I am not a fan of any brand, I vote with a ruble for what I consider the best for myself at the moment. In general, I do not regret the purchase. I recommend buying to those who change the percentage every 5 years. If you buy a percentage for work, calculation or rendering, then I don't see an alternative for the same money from Intel. In games at the moment, intel is ahead, but processors from intel are losing relevance much earlier (the fx series from amd currently surpasses the old solutions from Intel, although when these processes were released it was exactly the opposite, due to the fact that games are gradually moving towards multi-core and multithread). An unpleasant fact is also the presence of snot under the lid even in k versions of older Intel processors - just a slap in the face of customers. But nevertheless, if you are an avid gamer, change the processor (well, and the motherboard, respectively, now support for old sockets already looks like a fairy tale) once every couple of years and those 10% increase in fps are important to you (not on a 60Hz monitor, of course), then I recommend buy intel. By the way, I forgot to mention heat dissipation, in this issue AMD also surpassed Intel, without extreme overclocking even a boxed cooler does an excellent job, not to mention the towers.

Advantages: Excellent multitasking, 8 cores cope with any task today, from games (despite poor optimization for 16 threads) up to 3d modeling and rendering.
Disadvantages: Price, but it's a sin to complain with such performance.
Comment: An excellent processor that is primarily geared towards multitasking, for example, streaming, rendering, and so on. In the future, when games are optimized for 8 cores, the processor will reveal itself to its fullest.

Advantages: could not find anything to download. I have Universe Sandbox2. through this program I made a simulation of the collisions of three galaxies. before that I tried the same simulation on Phenom 2 x6 1075t. flew to the blue screen after the start of the merger of galaxies. and on Ryzen, not only did the process come to an end, but also the simulation speed could reach 500 thousand years / sec. CPU load 52%. why used Universe Sandbox? only loads the processor. and ships properly. but he could not completely load it. I will look for other options for simulations. there was a good idea with a double neutron star around a black hole. extra massive bodies dropped the simulation speed to 0.5 sec / sec.
Disadvantages: bought BOX. I naively assumed that there would be a cooler included. it turns out there are box boxes without a cooler, as evidenced by the sticker on the side.
Comment: in Battlefield 1 closer to the Earth, with a GeForce980GTX in the system, periodic brakes on multiplayer disappeared, the percentage is loaded by 50%, coolers on automatic regulation almost do not come out of low-noise mode. if interested, then I have a HyperX Fury 32 giga 2133 frequency. a set of 4 strips of 8. did not drive the memory on the test. there are enough current settings for tasks. And I put this memory only because I did not find it on sale with us with a faster set. from here it looks like in 7Zip the result is 39500 on the test. a similar configuration for reviewers but with faster memory gave 42000

Advantages: 1. Price for 8 cores 2. Cold (be quiet! For 1.9k). 3. What else do you need from the processor?
Disadvantages: There is nothing to write. For that kind of money, it still has no analogues.
Comment: I bought 1800s in KU for 26k so as not to mess with overclocking and other dances. To him ASUS B350M-A and 32GB Samsung 2400. In work (Adobe CS6 basically) no complaints. Everything is stable, I don't know what they are complaining about. Perhaps due to overclocking. Well, games like Skyrim run with a bang. There is so much power reserve that you can not close the programs at all, you just fold what you no longer use, then unfold and continue working. You no longer need to close antivirus software, torrent client, browser with 20-30 tabs when launching work applications and games, as it was on an old PC with i5-4440. Not a fan of AMD or Intel, just took what is currently the best price-quality ratio.

Advantages: - price / performance ratio - a useful and unique experience with "hardware"
Disadvantages: - children's sores - several dozen gray hairs when setting up the system - you may need "straight" hands
Comment: I took Ryzen 1700 for work (and a little bit for games). There are simply no competitors in the price segment in terms of power. here no options. When I assembled the system engineer, BSODs are constantly taking off, it took a month, and I drove synthetics, and memtest, and aida, etc. everything is in order, I set a real task for processing in 3d's max - crash, blue screen = (Projects are on fire, work is not done - everything is very sad = ((((I started to study the topic of overclocking and overclocking (I have never done this before). during the next month, we managed to fix the errors and even overclock the system a little =)) And the thing was this: 1) In auto mode, the high gluttony of the processor voltage reached 1.41 volts, as a result of which - floating errors (BSOD), overheating, "cutting off" the video card. Solution - setting in manual mode voltage 1.1, while the total overclocking was set to 3400 for all cores. 2) In auto mode - RAM at voltage 1.2 did not want to work 2 dice. One - please Two - everything, blue screens. The solution manually set the voltage to 1.34, the frequency was raised from 2400 to 2800 - everything works stably. Now the system "chews" 100% load for 10 hours of rendering. At the same time, Word, excel, Photoshop, Pdf + about 50 Chrom tabs. 3) Order from sin scarlet and put the radiators on self-adhesive thermal paste. (for chips, as on top motherboards) - but I was reinsured. 4) As a result, I changed the following settings: - Custom CPU Core Ratio -> FID = 136 (for 3400MHz frequency) - VDDCR CPU Voltage -> Offset mode -> '-' -> '0.0875' = 1.1v (lower voltage per processor) - DRAM Voltage = 1.34v (for a frequency of 2800, for a frequency of 2400, 1.3v is enough for me) - other settings in auto mode Recently a new BIOS version came out - I immediately updated it, put the system in auto mode. Voila ...., - everything also freezes (((((i.e. the problem has not been resolved, it is impossible to use such a system with the "wheels". Put the previous settings - everything works like clockwork. PS: mother - ASUS B350M-K

Advantages: Good performance for the future
Comment: I bought my 1700 BOX for 19.200, which was cheaper than 7700K but slightly more expensive than a simple 7700 (which, moreover, cannot chase). The regular cooler is good and quiet enough, therefore, it is simply a crime to take OEM) As a result, the mother of 16 gig (2666) memory percentages (2666) for 33tr assembled the system, which I think is just shikardos in our not easy time. In general, I was very pleased with the process, especially after my 4790

Advantages: Liked everything! I switched from i5-2310 to 1700 risen overclocked from 3 to 3.7 and from 16 GB of RAM in overclocking 3200. The difference in performance is colossal. I don’t regret buying
Disadvantages: Found 1700X later on this site for the same price tag
Comment: If you need to update the hardware, then this percent behaves perfectly. Must have
