This is an incredible processor, a work of art. It has far exceeded all expectations. 1. Productivity It has no equal. At all. This is the fastest processor not only among such a segment and workstations, but also one of the fastest even in competition with server solutions for $ 6,000-7,000! Here are the results of tests at 4.3 GHz for all cores Cinebench R20 - 10023 (no air-cooled processor demonstrates anything like this. The closest competitor is the 18-core Intel i9-10980xe with 9400 at 4.1 GHz, all that is higher in frequency by water or nitrogen) Wprime 1024 - 39.3 sec (Intel i9-10980xe 4.1 GHz - 43 sec) CPU-z Benchmark - 11560 (Intel - 10200) 7 zip - 168200 (Intel - 133400) Passmark CPU - 36400 (Intel - 33350) Userbench All core - 3090 (Intel - 2950) 2. High overclocking potential. But I was lucky with the stone. For me it works stably at 4.3 GHz across all cores and voltage 1.34 in tasks with maximum resource use and 1.3 in games and office tasks. Most of the tests are able to pass at 4.375 but at a voltage of 1.38-1.39. It makes no sense further. 3. Energy efficiency outstanding! Prime 95 test 29.8 stress test Small FFT + AVX + AVX2 at a frequency of 4000 and a voltage of 1.2, the average voltage in the test was 1.094, and the consumption was 200-203 for half an hour. This is the toughest test possible. For comparison, the i9-10980xe consumes 400 watts at a frequency of 4000. Without AVX, the consumption is 161-163 watts, while the i9-10980xe has twice the 350! This is the highest consumption in applied tasks. In games 60-90, the highest in Battlefield 5. 4. Temperature 42-50 in games, in idle 28-30, in the internet and in the office 32-33, Cinebench R20 78-79 at 4300, and Prime 95 Small FFT + AVX about 83-85 on the Noctua NH-D15 cooler (two turntables, open case, in room 20). Advantages:

If something is like Noctua-d15 / Dark rock pro 4 - it will be better with this. - Absurdly high productivity in work tasks - Up to ridiculously low cooling requirements. Most likely top, or pretop bin of silicone, which allowed the process to work at very low voltage.
Disadvantages:
-Acceleration. Mom's overclockers will be sad, it doesn't make much sense, and in some situations, the set frequency for all cores will worsen performance, depending on the type of load. Plus, efficiency drops through the floor and temperatures are harder to keep within adequate limits. Boost algorithms are getting closer to how video cards work - who is plus, who is minus, in fact. But on the other hand, scaling is cool from the temperature (noticeably below room temperature), but this is all exotic and self-indulgence, with 24/7 use you should not bother too much. -Well, this is not a threading device, but an ordinary consumer platform - PCI lines are not enough, well, depending on the board, there is a problem with IOMMU groups, but who needs virtual machines with dedicated peripherals that can google it, or there are alternatives, so this is such a disadvantage.
Comment:
For its own money, the top-end, Intel's 10980xe (aka 9980xe only at half price) and did not lie nearby in terms of price-performance, until they master the new process there is nothing to answer with blue, unfortunately. If you want to put more money into hardware, check out the TRX40. X299 is already dead, moreover, it has been a long time since the 2nd refresh (7980-9980-10980, a significant difference is only between 7 and 9 - solder instead of thermal paste under the heat spreader), with no major changes - it's not even funny.

It was possible to buy 12 thousand cheaper in a couple of weeks. In vray path tracing in speed as in corona render-uhd cache. The corona benchmark averages 55-57 seconds on 64gb ram gskill 3200. I didn't even have a choice for that price.

If you are considering this processor for purchase, then the fact that it has no competitors today will not surprise you ... I assembled a system with this processor for 3D graphics instead of 2xE5-2683 v3 (with an unlocked 3.1 GHz turbo boost across all cores). After a slight overclocking, the performance in the render engines surpassed the previous system by 10-15%, but at the same time the speed of single-threaded tasks increased significantly. Cinebench r15 scored 4150 points

Advantages:
Does not slow down in Premier pro when editing 1 camera (from a quadcopter material) in 4K three-hour video with an average bitrate of 99743 kilobits (99.743 megabits per second) and throwing shutters and lumetri. FullHD renders 4-5 times faster than my old 4770K processor, for example.
Disadvantages:
I can't start "hardware virtualization", Kaspersky suggests, but I still don't understand if it exists at all. I had to buy WIndows 10 Home, because compatibility with this version. It takes longer to reboot than my old intel 4770K.

Because the computer is formed based on the processor, I will write a review on all components here. I took an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X processor for editing video in 4K. I chose components for it: Noctua NH-U12A GIGABYTE AM4 X570 X570 AORUS ULTRA 3 HDD + 2 SSD sata + 1 SSD m.2 MSI nVidia GeForce RTX 2060 G.SKILL F4-3200C14D-32GTZ Corsair HX750 750W (80+ Platinum) Cooler Master N300 (NSE-300-KKN1) G.SKILL F4-3200C14D-32GTZ starts XMP mode in BIOS and RAM starts to work with clock cycles 14-14-14 -... at 3200. The temperature with this cooler at 4K rendering saw how it reached 93 degrees. I had to buy an SSD m.2 with a read or write speed of 2800 MB / s, looking at this monster (processor). If something rests on installation with such an assembly, then only RAM and a processor. After 5 days of use, I still did not see the 4.7 GHz promised for it, it works in normal mode up to a maximum of 4.0-4.2 GHz per core. Overclock, if applied, the warranty will fly off, as I understand it.

I needed a second computer, it was originally aimed at zen2 R9, so as soon as x570 motherboards appeared on sale, I assembled a new machine and bought a 2700x like a plug. The memory was taken by 3600MHz G.Skill Trident Z Neo (F4-3600C16Q-64GTZNC) (4x16Gb KIT), which was declared "for the zen2 + x570 bundle" and it is true that it did not take its frequencies at 2700x, but as soon as I put 3950x it started stably on built-in OC profile at 3600MHz, I have not driven further, overclocking has not touched and there is no point in this, the bus itself does an excellent job. Advantages:
One of the best options for streaming on one pc. Cope calmly. With Dark Pro 4 in the stress test 82 degrees, but this is understandably a hot processor due to the power, but it does not get so hot in operation. There is simply nothing to load it with. Even in the render keeps the temperature lower up to 75 degrees. Dropsy, it makes sense to take good from the budget sense may be less than from the top air.
Disadvantages:
It is better to install win 10 1903 and higher assembly in advance. I just stupidly did not want to install Windows on new hardware. Then everything was like clockwork.

Today they brought it, today I did all the tests. There is no experience with this processor, all data was collected in a day. While there is no clear opinion on the pros and cons, I will share my notes. My copy was able to squeeze out without overclocking (with ryzen PBO enabled) in the gaming mode 4.775 GHz on the first core and about 4.5-4.675 for the other seven. This mod, as I understand it, disables half of the cores (not threads, not to be confused with disabling SMT). I don’t know what it’s connected with, but the temperature constantly jumps by 8-12 degrees during idle and does not drop below 48 degrees, and does not rise above 76 degrees (LSS). The operatives began to chase like never before. Intel optane 905p became faster according to my observations. I did not perform precise tests.

Advantages:
Perc fire. Temperatures for 16 cores, 32 threads were kept at 67-75 degrees under load. Since the dropsy climbed only into the front part of the corps, and there is trouble with the bars. But after some shamanism it was possible to lower it to 70 degrees.
Disadvantages:
To the processor, I took 4 memory strips for 64 gigabytes with a frequency of 3200. A processor with an XMP profile did not pass memtest86 +, from 5 to 25 errors per pass. It works without errors only with 3133. And I checked the same kit on Intel and everything was clear and without errors. As a result, I started with 3133, and lowered timings: D So, as a result, the reading speed became even higher than on the XMP-3200.
Comment:
Immediately after purchase, I recommend updating the motherboard bios. Since I had agesa combo-am4 1.0.0.3. And with it, the percentage did not take not only 4.5, but even higher than 3.8 it rarely rose with a load on 1 core.

Advantages:
everything is like everyone else. The only thing that is different is the idle temperature - 40, under full load of all cores - 62. Water cooling probably helps. Maybe Aida64 is lying about the temperature.
