Opinions from the Nikon 20mm f / 1.8G ED AF-S Nikkor

Advantages: 1. Aperture 1.8 2. Small and light! (This is very important for me !!!) 3. Excellent resolution and sharpness at 1.8, practically over the entire field of the frame. 4. I was very pleased with the AF tenacity, especially in those cases when the subject is quite far away and not well separated from the background. 5. Small distortion for such a phased array. 6. Reasonable price (today) 7. Very fast AF
Disadvantages: Vignetting (but it doesn't matter to me)
Comment: The lens turned out to be just great and comfortable. If you are looking for a not too wide ultra-wide width, then it will definitely suit you.

Advantages: Aperture ratio, sharpness, color rendering, weight
Disadvantages: Strong vignetting up to 2.8, window with information about focusing distance and grip is purely formal
Comment: It took a long time to decide which wide-angle lens to take for the d750, and settled on it. Lightweight, the plastic is the same as on other lenses, but compared to a fifty-dollar lens, nothing dangles, the aperture is sufficient to shoot astro, the minimum focal length is 20 cm ... great for interiors, architecture and astro. But manual focusing is not so convenient, I would like to be more precise ... though autofocus does not smear almost never.

Advantages: Razor sharpness, working 1.8, comfortable size, durable.
Comment: I bought, if I'm not mistaken, in the fall of 2015, for 49,000 rubles. I took, as plus or minus, a universal shirik for the new camera (D810). Of the alternatives, I used a Tamron SP AF 17-35 mm f / 2.8-4 Di on a Canon EOS-1V film. What I want to say is that the lens is boring, compared to Tamron, in the sense that the picture has minimal distortion, almost no vignette, and high sharpness throughout the frame. These properties are a big plus for those who value picture realism and uniformly high quality, but they will disappoint those who value the "soulfulness" of imperfect lenses. Having run off with this 20 for two years, I don’t regret the money spent, this lens is on the camera, probably 90% of the time due to the fact that I like wide shots, and also in view of the fact that in the case of an excessive width of the angle, the resolution The D810 provides a fairly painless way to crop a picture. A couple of times I dropped the lens from a half-meter height - the picture quality remained in place, no problems arose. Filmed in medium rain - also no problem. Does not catch glare (except for direct aiming at the sun). It's too narrow for non-panoramic landscapes, there I would prefer 17 mm and wider (by the way, again, due to the almost completely absent distortions, the depth of the picture in this genre is lost). I can recommend this lens to anyone looking for sharp wide-angle shots in virtually any light or weather condition. I do not recommend the lens to those who care about the "live picture", it will disappoint you, take a better look at the aforementioned Tamron, he is really much more interesting in this regard.
